This place is great! It had a nice atmosphere with a bar right when you walk in and the restaurant is in the back section. There are tables everywhere so you can sit in the bar area. The food is amazing! I had the Irish boxty (with beef) and it was great. It's kind of like a pancake folded over with beef inside. The drinks were really good too! I had a Moscow mule and the Brogue punch. I definitely recommend trying this place!

The Old Brogue say restaurant that I have frequented for decades. It is a charming place, with the very best Irish pub atmosphere without being kitschy. What I like most about it has occurred over the past year or two. They have substantially expanded their menu to become more vegan and vegetarian friendly. This is not something you would normally associate with a meat-and-potatoes Irish pub. Yet the menu expansions are tasty, innovative, consistently excellent. They have provided options for patrons who enjoy a pub atmosphere but adhere to a meat-free diet!

I went in for brunch expecting another "Irish" pub that plays flogging Molly and drowns everything in Guinness. I was pleasantly surprised that isn't the case. It's more of an upscale atmosphere with drinks to match. I was a little disappointed to see there want a single Virginia wine on the list. As for the food, maybe 40% of the menu is some variation of a Ruben, or eggs Benedict (the food itself is damn good but the menu gives the illusion of variety) but it's the details that really shine here. Chopped peppers and onions with the home fries. No pretentious over-seasoning of the swedish eggs I got (I recommend getting them if you can). They even had table signs for local Irish music groups! If you're looking for a place to pound Guinness and get rowdy, keep looking. This is a classy place with good inexpensive food.
